About Us
The Community Centre was opened in the year 2000 after 8 years of planning. It is run by the Strathpeffer Community Centre Board, a group of volunteers from the local area. The Centre is managed by Clara Hickey, who moved to the village in 2004 and took on the post of Centre Manager in December 2008. Clara is assisted by Rona Shepherd, who joined the team in 2009, and a number of part-time staff who all contribute towards keeping the Centre running smoothly.
The Community Centre is a non-profit organisation, with the main purpose of catering for the needs of the community. We aim to provide courses, classes and activities that will appeal to the local residents. Our goal is to make all the activities we provide as affordable as possible; any charges for classes and courses goes straight to covering our costs and organising future activities.
We are constantly working to improve the Centre and what we have on offer; if you have any suggestions regarding what we can change or what you would like us to offer, please contact us and let us know.
