We have a small fitness room with various pieces of gym equipment here at the centre. There are also changing facilities and a shower room adjoining the fitness room. Our gym equipment was updated in the summer of 2009 with some brand new machines, and now includes the following:
- treadmill
- 2 elliptical trainer
- cycling machine
- rowing machine
- sit up bench
- selection of free weights
Gym membership is from £7 a month, concession and family rates are available. A full 12 month membership can be purchased for £70.
If you are interested in joining the gym please contact the centre on 01997 421989 to organise a gym induction. The induction is carried out by a qualified individual, and is a compulsory part of the membership to ensure that all users understand how to exercise and use the machines safely. Gym induction costs £7 per person
Once you are a member you are free to use the gym for as long as you wish during centre opening hours. A great way to keep fit and stay healthy without having to travel far!
Gym opening hours (during term time): Monday to Friday 9am - 9pm. Saturday and Sunday opening varies. Please contact the centre during the week to find out times.
Summer Holiday Opening:
Monday: 9am - 5pm
Tueday: 9am - 5pm
Wednesday: 9am - 9pm
Thursday: 9am - 5pm
Friday: 9am - 5pm
The Main Hall is also available to hire for sporting activities such as badminton, netball, basketball and indoor football. This should be booked in advance and is usually available most evenings and weekends. Cost for hiring the hall for badminton etc is only £5 per hour.
Please note that Zumba Fitness sessions are not taking place over the summer but will resume on Tuesday the 17th of August
